Out with the “Bicycle Mobile” on 40M SSB from 07:30 UK time until 09:30 UK time.
The weather was perfect, 15 degrees centigrade, with absolutely no wind, and so I was able to deploy the full sized quarter wave vertical on the back of the bike, this is 30 feet long, so its a big antenna for mobile!
Long-path propagation between 07:30 UK time and 08:30 UK time was excellent into VK and ZL, so several stations worked, Chris, VK2SR was 59+20 so an immense signal from him!
Later worked quite a few European stations before returning home for breakfast.
